Enough Doomerism

AI is the greatest tool ever built for writers. 

While everyone freaks out about AI destroying human creativity, you can use AI to:

• Help you pull out and develop hidden ideas in your writing
• Organize and mine your reading to support and develop your writing ideas
• Build a personal website to create a permanent home for your work
• Edit and tighten up your work (without having AI rewrite it)
• Help you see new ways to connect your previous ideas

And so much more. 

I am so excited about the future of writing, bolstered by what AI can help do to enrich and support our work. 

ChatGPT really started to take off a few years ago while I was at Write of Passage. At that time, it was hard not to feel that AI would eventually destroy human writing, and that was disheartening.

I feel 100% differently today.
