A focus on process sends Michigan State to the Final Four. Again!

Congratulations to my alma mater, Michigan State, which again finds its men's basketball team headed to the Final Four following a stunning victory over top-ranked Louisville.

Michigan State won like it so often has. Great defense, opportunistic offense, relentless rebounding.

Izzo has a lot of philosophies I love, but one of the very best is his focus on process over results. Do all the little things as well as you can. Work and grind and focus, and the big picture will take care of itself.

Izzo's big picture is a lot bigger than most. He has taken MSU to five Final Fours since 1999. Remarkable. Say what you want about college sports, but MSU owes Tom Izzo so much. He has operated with class and integrity and is so important the MSU brand. Thanks, Coach.

Here's to old-fashioned Midwestern grit and process winning out. Now go get that title in Motown.
